I ♥ FACES - DRAMATIC B&W

I love the I HEART FACES website and every once in a while, if a theme captures my attention and reminds me of a photo I've taken, I'll play along. This week, the theme is Dramatic Black & White. They are looking for moody shots with a dramatic flare, which made me think of this shot I took of Peanut during our "official holiday card" photo shoot.

Peanut is captured having a "moment" - leaning up against the goal post with the score board in the backgroud. Her thoughtful, content expression makes me smile.

I ♥ THIS FACE

I ♥ Faces is celebrating their first birthday with a Best Face Photo challenge. I always hesitate to play along because the photos entered are always ah-mazing! Being a self-proclaimed hack at photography, my photos just aren't in the same league as the other entries. This week was particularly challenging because the photo had to be taken in the last 6 weeks, so I couldn't search my entire library for a photo where all the moons and stars were accidentally aligned and I actually captured a quality shot.

So what made me enter this week, other than the opportunity to show off this sweet little expression on Peanut's face? Well, I ♥ Faces has a new logo and I just love it. So much so that it inspired me to give this week's challenge a try. Truly. I know. Geek-alert! But I do love a good logo.

I ♥ FACES "BALLOON" PHOTO CHALLENGE

Well, I think I'm on a roll with these I ♥ FACES challenges! I hadn't thought about entering a photo two weeks in a row, but couldn't resist the balloon challenge. Remember this photo from Peanut's Pretty Dress Party? It was the end of the day and she was completely exhausted, but held on to this balloon as if she were grasping one last bit of birthday excitement. As long as she had her balloon, her day would not be over. When she finally crashed, she was still hanging on to a perfect day.

I ♥ FACES “HALLOWEEN DRESS-UP” PHOTO CHALLENGE

I've been stalking the I ♥ Faces Photo Challenges for some time now and today I decided to throw caution to the wind and enter a photo. Now I guess I consider myself a beginner photographer, but when I took this photo last Halloween, I did not do anything but point and click, in the dark and on the run. But still, it's cute right? I like to call it "Fifi looks for candy."
